UP NEET Mop-up Round Merit List and Admission Process

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh, is all set to unveil the merit list for the UP NEET counseling mop-up round on September 12. If you’ve participated in the Uttar Pradesh National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (UP NEET UG), you can access the merit list by visiting the official website at upneet.gov.in. Here’s what you need to know.

Checking the Merit List

The directorate has specified that candidates who have paid the registration fee, deposited the security amount, and had their documents verified by the officials will be included in the UP NEET UG counseling mop-up round. It’s crucial to remember that the deadline for fee payment is today, September 12.

Follow these simple steps to check the merit list:

1. Navigate to the official UP NEET website at upneet.gov.in.
2. Look for the link mentioning the UP NEET Mop-up Merit List on the homepage.
3. Click on the link, and a new window will appear.
4. Provide your registration number, password, and captcha as requested.
5. Your UP NEET UG mop-up round list will then be displayed on the screen.
6. Check for your name and other relevant details.
7. If necessary, download and print a copy for admission purposes.

Eligibility and Fees

The directorate has clarified that only students who did not secure a seat during the initial and second rounds of UP NEET counseling in 2023 are eligible for the mop-up round. To register, candidates must submit a registration fee of Rs. 1,000. Additionally, a security deposit is mandatory for securing a seat, with government medical colleges requiring Rs. 30,000, private medical colleges demanding Rs. 2 lakh, and private dental colleges necessitating Rs. 1 lakh.

Applicants who already submitted the security deposit during the first and second rounds of UP NEET counseling are exempt from this additional payment.

Important Dates

The merit list is scheduled to be published on September 12. Following this, the online choice-filling period will commence on September 13 at 5 pm and conclude on September 15 at 5 pm. The seat allotment result is expected to be declared either on September 16 or September 17. Subsequently, successful candidates will have the opportunity to download their allotment letters and complete the admission process from September 18 to 21.
