It’s important to note that students must score a minimum of 33 per cent marks to clear the exam. Those who fall just short of this requirement may receive grace marks, with teachers allowed to grant up to 5 per cent grace marks. However, students who fail in all subjects will need to repeat the class.
Earlier this year, the Karnataka board declared the result of the 2nd PUC on April 21. Out of the 7.02 lakh students who appeared for the Karnataka PUC 2023 exam, 5,24,209 students successfully passed. This translated to a pass percentage of 74.67 per cent. Notably, the pass percentage was higher among girls at 80.25 per cent compared to 69.05 per cent among boys. Among the different streams, the Science stream recorded the highest pass percentage at 72.53 per cent, with Commerce stream students following closely at 64.97 per cent. Meanwhile, the pass percentage for the Arts stream was 61.22 per cent, with 134,876 students passing the exam.
Individual excellence was also recognized in this year’s results. Ananya, S M Koushik, and Tabassum Shaik secured the top positions in the KSEAB Class 12 Result for Science, Arts, and Commerce, respectively. Their achievements are commendable and serve as an inspiration to others.
Additionally, the Karnataka government has made an important decision regarding future examinations. Starting next year, the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) and Pre-University College (PUC) supplementary exams will be eliminated. Instead, students will have three chances to appear for the annual board exams. The highest marks obtained by candidates out of the three exams will be considered their final score. This change aims to reduce the stress on students and provide them with a fair opportunity to perform their best in these crucial exams.
As the Karnataka PUC II Supplementary Result 2023 for Exam 2 is now available, students can access their scores online. Congratulations to all the successful candidates, and best wishes for your future endeavors!
