The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener, Arvind Kejriwal, along with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, inaugurated the first ‘School of Eminence’ in Punjab’s Amritsar on Wednesday. Kejriwal, who also serves as the Chief Minister of Delhi, unveiled this significant educational institution dedicated to providing quality education to the children of Punjab. This inauguration marks a pivotal step towards fulfilling the party’s promise to elevate government schools to the same level as private ones in Punjab.

Revolutionizing Education

Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains expressed his optimism, stating that these ‘Schools of Eminence’ would pave the way for a bright future for students in the state. He reiterated the AAP’s commitment to transforming government schools into top-tier educational establishments. “We had given a guarantee that government schools will be made the best. These ‘Schools of Eminence’ will bring a revolution in education,” Bains declared.

State-of-the-Art Facilities

The ‘School of Eminence’ is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities designed to enhance the learning experience. It features smart classrooms, modern infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, and playgrounds with facilities for various sports. This comprehensive approach to education ensures that students receive a holistic and enriching learning environment.

Future Expansion

The AAP government has ambitious plans to establish a total of 116 such ‘Schools of Eminence’ across Punjab. These schools will primarily focus on students in Classes 9 to 12 and aim to develop them as centers of excellence. This expansion is set to further elevate the quality of education available to Punjab’s youth.

Kejriwal’s Visit to Punjab

Arvind Kejriwal, currently on a three-day visit to Punjab, will also address a public gathering in Amritsar later in the day, along with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Additionally, Kejriwal and Mann will hold meetings with entrepreneurs in Amritsar and Jalandhar on Thursday. These meetings will provide a platform to discuss various issues faced by entrepreneurs, including policy-related matters.
